CORE EXPERTISE: Full-service design and construction document sets of blueprints via computer modeling, AI rendering software, video tours, and drafting.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY: We aim to design energy independent buildings that prioritize: Resiliency to the Local Climate, New Technology, & Symbolism Expressed in Form. Additionally, every structure we design must also balance:
Proportions, Scale, Cadence, Tectonics, and Material Presence.

As Andrea Palladio, our most influential architect in the past 500 years, puts it: “Beauty will result from the form and the correspondence of the whole, with respect to the several parts, of the parts with regard to each other, and of these again to the whole; that the structure may appear an entire and complete body, wherein each member agrees with the other, and all necessary to compose what you intend to form.”

So let’s work together as a team to design energy independent homes and commercial properties all around the world.

BUSINESS LOGISTICS: We charge a flat fee that is a percentage of the value we created, similar to how realtors charge commission fees. This percentage is based off the project’s scope and timeline, and it is agreed upon by both parties before any work can begin. However on certain projects or if preferred, we can also charge hourly with a Maximum Price Guaranteed on almost all potential projects.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES: We can also perform additional services to be charged on an hourly rate for the following: energy modeling, solar calculations, structural engineering diagrams, construction sequencing, interior design, cabinetry and casework design, custom furniture, artwork pieces, construction administration, etc. etc.

PLEASE NOTE: The client is responsible for hiring any additional firms / professionals required for their builds such as: contractors, engineers, interior designers, etc. etc. We are an architect firm in charge of creating the design, models, blueprints, and observing the construction to be compliant and abiding to the design documents we create.

DISCLAIMER: All commercial and residential projects will require hiring a structural engineering firm that will be it’s own entity, and not part of our company nor our scope. And they will contract with the client directly, just as how the contractors will.

NOTICE: The Architects Practice Act (Act) and its regulations in California will be followed at all times. “All persons preparing or being in responsible control of plans, specifications, and instruments of service for others shall sign those plans, specifications, and instruments of service and all contracts therefor, and, if licensed under this chapter, shall affix a stamp, which complies with subdivision (b), to those plans, specifications, and instruments of service, as evidence of the person’s responsibility for those documents.”

ADDITIONAL NOTICE: Our firm will continue adhering to the Guiding Principles for the Development of NCARB’s Model Rules of Conduct including, but not limited to:

“While architects are obligated to defend vigorously the position of their clients, architects may be compelled to insist on positions that are not in their clients’ interest in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public…

RULE 1.1 – In practicing architecture, an architect’s primary duty is to protect the public’s health, safety, and welfare. In discharging this duty, an architect shall act with reasonable care and competence, and shall apply the knowledge and skill ordinarily applied by architects in good standing, practicing in the same locality.

RULE 3.5 – If, in the course of an architect’s work on a project, the architect becomes aware of a decision made by the architect’s employer or client, against the architect’s advice, which violates applicable federal, state, or local building laws and regulations and which will, in the architect’s judgment,
materially and adversely affect the health and safety of the public, the architect shall:
(a) refuse to consent to the decision, and
(b) report the decision to the official charged with enforcement of building laws and regulations, and
(c) in circumstances where the architect reasonably believes that other such decisions will be taken notwithstanding the architect’s objection, terminate the provision of services with reference to the project unless the architect is able to cause the matter to be resolved by other means.

RULE 3.9 – An architect possessing knowledge of a violation of the jurisdiction’s laws or rules governing the practice of architecture by another shall report such knowledge to the Board. It is the professional duty of the architect to do so.”
